Congratulations, President Obama!

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by the Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo, Norway. The Swedish Committee awards all other Nobel Prizes from Stockholm.

So, who nominated President Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize? I looked it up on the Internet, no one knows. The nominations had to be submitted by February 1, 2009. President Obama took office on January 20, 2009. So what was his nomination based upon? Normally, and historically nominees have had to accomplish something in order to even be nominated. Yet our President Obama has won the award.

It is bad enough that President Obama has apologized repeatedly in his speeches around the world for what he considers America’s past bad behavior, asking for forgiveness and understanding. I consider these apologetic comments a slap in the face to all Americans. The fact that he has not pointed out all the good we have done for so many countries is appalling.

Even now, while we are financially broke, in debt, and 15 million Americans are out of work, with no hope of ever earning enough money to go back to the lifestyle they once had just a few years ago (which they have not faced yet) we are handing out money to anyone who wants it, except to the Americans who really need it.   There are no jobs to go back to.   Our manufacturing has been out-sourced to China.  America’s food now comes from around the world, consequently,  many American farmers have been put out of business. I’m no mathematician, but I just don’t see how minimum wage jobs can put Americans back on the road to recovery.   But that’s all there is, and those are hard to get.

Americans have lost their jobs, homes, cars, and health insurance. Many have had their 401K’s and Pensions wiped out by crooks on Wall Street, because  the inept Congressmen who were supposed to be overseeing Wall Street and the financial institutions, didn’t do their jobs.   Now, today, as I write this, (well not necessarily today, it’s Friday and I understand that many in Congress go home on Thursday night, and come back to work on Tuesdays), Congress wants to cut $500 Million dollars from Medicare, which covers the health care costs of our seniors. They want to cut Millions of dollars from Medicaid, which helps the poor with their medical needs in order to pay for a National Health Plan that will surely put us into a downward spiral that we will never get out of.

Yet our American leadership (Obama) is still trying to squeeze that last penny out of our pockets to send millions of dollars to numerous countries around the world, many of which hate our guts.  While he ignores the  needs  of the American people.

Has any country offered to help Americans by sending us Grant money? You know the kind that never needs to be paid back?  The kind we give away.   Nope!   They just keep holding out their hands begging for more from us.

So, today our President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and said, “Let me be clear that I don’t view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership (which is him) on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations. “ I thought the aspirations of Americans are supposed to be his number one consideration.

Committee Chairman, Thorbjoern Jagland said, “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.”

Well, I guess President Obama would catch the world’s attention as he doesn’t pass up a chance to belittle the American’s he is supposed to be respresenting.

It is the first time a sitting American President has grabbed the last dollar out of   a drowning man’s hand (metaphorically speaking) and turned his back on his own people, and facing the world,  holding the dollar up in the air,  yelling out “who wants it?”

Congratulations, President Obama, winning the Nobel Peace Prize has  officially started your campaign for World Leader in 2016.
